Boxer Loses Hairpiece In The Ring, Blames His Mother’s Shampoo

You’ve probably heard that heavyweight boxer Jarrell Miller had a bad hair day at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night when a punch knocked his hairpiece loose during his fight against Kingsley Ibeh. In the second round, Ibeh landed a shot that caused Miller’s toupee to pop up from the front, showing off a large bald spot. Miller finished the round, then ripped the hairpiece off and threw it into the crowd. He still won by split decision.

What you may not have heard was that after the fight, Miller explained that he lost his real hair just two days earlier after using what he thought was shampoo at his mother’s house, but it turned out to be closer to ammonia bleach. He called his manager and asked for a quick replacement before the bout. WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley later posted a video of the hairpiece, joking that he would keep it safe. Miller laughed it off, calling himself a comedian.
