Oopsie. A man in Taiwan had to undergo major surgery after a ceramic cup got stuck in his rectum, which he of course said was an accident. The cup, which measured about three inches long and two inches wide, showed up on an X-ray scan at Lee General Hospital. The unnamed man had come to the hospital complaining of stomach swelling for three days and being unable to go to the bathroom. He was too embarrassed to tell doctors about the cup at first and had been hoping he could push it out naturally on his own.
Doctors first tried to remove the cup from the outside, but that didn’t work. They had to perform a two-hour surgery to remove it through his intestines. When doctors asked how it happened, the man only said it was an accident and claimed he didn’t know how it got there. A doctor at the hospital warned that putting objects in the rectum can cause serious damage to internal organs and can even be deadly. The doctor said he had seen baseball bats, vibrators, and even a coconut get stuck before, but this was the first time for a cup. Now, the world needs to hear the story about the coconut, but no details were released.
