The economy must not be too bad in Russia. A new trend is sweeping the country where women are paying up to $245 for tiny wigs they glue to their pubic area. The popularity has skyrocketed in recent months as part of a naturalness trend inspired by the 1990s. Prices range from $7 to $61 for basic versions, with natural material options costing around $245.
Women want the natural look from that era but don’t want to actually grow their own hair for various reasons. Some have had permanent hair removal done, while others just don’t want to deal with the itchiness of growing hair back. The wigs are attached with special adhesives that makers say are safe for skin. Moscow hair transplant clinics are even getting requests to restore pubic hair following permanent removal procedures.
