New York High School Has 15 Sets Of Twins Graduating

Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School on Long Island will see double everywhere at graduation. Out of roughly 500 seniors, 15 sets of fraternal twins are picking up diplomas side by side. Many have been buddies since kindergarten thanks to a local twins club that kept their families close. Some siblings will head to the same college, but most plan to split up for a bit of independence while staying in touch through group chats and visits.

The school isn’t new to big twin turnouts, and next fall’s freshmen already include nine more sets. Students joke there must be “something in the water,” though doctors point to IVF and genetics. Whatever the reason, the unusual group says growing up in pairs made classes, sports, and even family trips more fun, and the double vision will stick long after the caps land.
