A couple in Jilin, China, recently found themselves in a sticky situation while trying to film a video for social media. They wanted to see if the woman’s hand could fit inside her boyfriend’s mouth. It went in fine, but when she tried to take it out the man’s jaw muscles cramped, clamping down on her hand and trapping it. At the hospital, doctors observed that the man’s face was red, he was drooling, and his throat made gurgling sounds.
His teeth had also tightened around her wrist due to the muscle contraction. To get his girlfriend’s hand out, medical staff played calming music to relax him and used a special tool to slightly open his mouth, then gave him a muscle relaxant. It took about 20 minutes to get the hand free. No word on the number of views they got for the video.
