The public hearing to learn about the County’s funding application will be held on Thursday, January 16th in the 2nd floor conference room of the County Human Services Center, located at 80 State Highway 310 in Canton. The HSC is handicap accessible. Persons who are unable to attend the meeting in person can also email mlarson@stlawco.gov or sonja@volunteertransportation.org to receive a Zoom link to attend virtually. Persons who are unable to attend at all can also view the public hearing handout which will be posted on the following webpage: https://stlawco.gov/Departments/Public-Transportation/News I anticipate the handout will be uploaded on or before Monday, Jan 13th
The funding application is due to the DOT on February 4th. The last day to submit comments on the funding application is Friday, January 31st.
Suggested bus stops and service:
We welcome suggestions on ways to improve Public Transit bus service, which includes new bus stops and routes. This coming year, the County Mobility Manager, the bus operations supervisor and I will be working together to reivew bus trip data to figure out how to revise routes and schedules so that we can deliver the best public transit service possible.
