Rowdy revelers engaging in debaucherous bachelor and bachelorette parties in a small Spanish resort town could soon face hefty penalties, as authorities introduce fines of up to $1,620 for public nudity, lewd costumes, or publicly parading s*x dolls. What’s more, revelers could also be slapped with an $811 fine for going shirtless or wearing nothing but swimwear away from beaches.
The crackdown in Platja d’Aro was prompted after a raucous party left a groom taped to a lamppost with blaring music…that’s when the residents said they’d had enough. With up to 150-thousand visitors coming to the 12-thousand-person town, officials hope the stiff fines will foster a more peaceful experience for tourists and locals.
