A UK brewery has found itself in the spotlight after its Osama Bin Laden-themed “Osama Bin Lager” beer featuring a caricature of the notorious terrorist went viral. What’s more, it sold out due to such overwhelming demand, the owners had to unplug the phones and shut down their website.
As offensive as the name is, the Mitchell Brewing Company donates proceeds to 9/11 victim charities. And Bin Laden isn’t the only one with his own brew. “Putin’s Porter” and “Kim Jong Ale” are some of the other polarizing pub offerings that the owners insist make “everyone laugh when they see the names on the bar.”
